Ivor Tymchak
Ivor describes himself as a creative thinker. Shortly after leaving art college in the 70's with a film making degree, he devised a strip cartoon called "Life and How to Live it" which appeared weekly in a national music paper. These were collected into a book which was then printed and sold through WH Smith.
In the 1980's he formed a rock band called Gentle Ihor's Devotion which put out a 12 inch single and a cd album on a German record label. Ivor was the singer/songwriter and business organiser of the band.
After his adventures in the band touring Holland, Germany and Czechoslovakia he started a successful graphic design business. It was during this period he developed a new career as an on-the-spot caricaturist.
He then realised a lifelong ambition to perform stand up comedy. This was a challenge he set himself and he achieved his goal; to make a roomful of strangers laugh. He even got paid on several occasions!
From there he developed an interest in public speaking and what he learnt from stand up comedy allowed him to develop and design serveral creative thinking programs. As far as he can tell, creativity training is what he wants to do when he grows up.
